Kurashiki
Kurashiki is only a few kilometers west of Okayama City. During the Edo Period, Kurashiki was a center for storing rice harvested from surrounding, fertile regions. Kurashiki is interpreted as “storehouse town”. Several dozen of the original storehouses (kura) can still be found in this beautiful town with tree lined canals. 倉敷は岡山市から西へ数キロの場所にあります。江戸時代、倉敷は周辺の肥沃な地区から収穫された米の保存の中心地でした。倉敷は「倉庫の町」と訳されます。木々に囲まれた運河のあるこの美しい町では、未だ数十の蔵を見る事が出来ます。
Okayama
Okayama is a major transportation hub for the Chugoku Region. The city is most famous for Korakuen, known as one of Japan’s three most beautiful landscape gardens. The surrounding area is very picturesque, with beautiful bike tracks leading to some wonderful ancient five story pagodas. 岡山は中国地方の交通の中心です。ここは日本三名園の一つである後楽園で有名です。周辺地域は絵のように美しく、自転車用の道がいくつかの古い五重塔に繋がっています。
Yokohama
Yokohama is Japan’s second largest city with a population of around three million people. It is only 30 minutes south of Tokyo by train and is the capital of Kanagawa Prefecture. Yokohama’s Chinatown is one of the world’s largest and Japan’s tallest building, the Landmark Tower can be found here. 横浜は約300万人の人口を持つ、日本で二番目に大きな都市です。 東京の南西にあり、東京から電車で約30分で、神奈川県の県庁所在地です。横浜の中華街は世界でも大きなものの一つで、日本で一番高い建物であるランドマークタワーがあります。
